HABITS= RISE AND SHINEH= HABITS

We have followed RISE AND SHINE Action Plan throughout this year. For September, we are on “H”.

H= HABITS. As September arrives, and we enter into the next season of the year, it’s time to assess your habits.

What habits did you commit to at the beginning of the year, and what habits have fallen by the wayside?

Are you as committed to your habits as you were when you promised yourself them?

Why is it even important?

Well, let’s start with WHY you made the promise to yourself in the first place…..

 

What kinds of promises (or goals) did you set at the beginning of the year? Or… do you set your promises around special dates or landmarks?

For many of us, summer is the time that many habits get derailed. The sunshine/funshine, school vacations, and other lifestyle activities take our eyes off of our goals.

 

Here’s a story! Several years ago, I committed to a morning ritual of ‘movement, mindfulness and motivation’. It is a 6-6:30 am Live Stream Video that we do a yoga style ‘stongevity’ workout, and some mindful gratitude habit actions. The first year we launched it, NOTHING could stop me from providing the 6 am get together. I had a friend, yoga instructor who was in the Facebook Group cover for me. It was a great change for those who show up, and it got some nice exposure for her (@sportyogalady). Last year, I missed the live workouts while I was on vacation but scheduled new videos while I was away. They were not live, but they were new and fresh.  This year, I took the time off with periodic inspirational postings and suggestions that they watch their favorite videos. I had a business trip right after I got back from vacation, and I took a full two weeks off. Habits GONE!

Does this sound like my habits have been supporting my promise to myself, and my group of followers?
