Social Media Workshop

Kate Lanagan MacGregor’s Connecting the Dots Initiative continued last week with a Social Media Workshop by Susan Gorden Ryan and Kevin Thompson of BBM pros.   BOLD Moves Real Estate agents, Kathy Song, Dave Garro and Betty Tripanier attended the workshop to see how social media is important for their business.

The Workshop covered how social media is important in your business.  Who is your avatar? What is an avatar?  Who is your target market? It also discussed, once you define your market,  how do you reach them? How can social media help with this?  It included messaging strategies and prioritizing systems by venue.  What are you doing to reach your audience daily, weekly, monthly?

They also went over C.O.R.R.E.  Create once and refine and reproduce everywhere.  Your web is your hub and you can compartmentalize, monitor and refine before you put it out there on social media.

Great tips for branding your business and getting it noticed on social media and reaching your target audience.

39 Days to Go- 100 Days to BOLDness- Picture Perfect!

forever fit reunion at BOLD Welcome CenterINSPIRATION STATION:  Do you like these pictures of Forever Fit Memory Lane? Aren’t these photos fun? They are more than fun, they are engaging.  You should consider adding photos or video whenever it makes sense to your marketing strategies.

According to Jeff Bullas , of Jeffbulla.com (He’s Ranked #8 on Forbes” The World’s Top 40 Social Marketing Talent” – 2014), here are 6 reasons to incorporating pictures.

  1. Articles with images get 94% more total views
  2. Including a Photo and a video in a press release increases views by over 45%
  3. 60% of consumers are more likely to consider or contact a business when an image shows up in local search results
  4. In an ecommerce site, 67% of consumers say the quality of a product image is “very important” in selecting and purchasing a product
  5. In an online store, customers think that the quality of a products image is more important than product-specific information (63%), a long description (54%) and ratings and reviews (53%)
  6. Engagement rate on Facebook for photos averages 0.37% where text only is 0.27% (this translates to a 37% higher level of engagement for photos over text)

Videos are even more powerful! If a picture is worth a thousand words, what then could a 60 second video be worth? Well, according to a new Forrester study, a 60 second video is worth over 1.8 million words.

Enjoy these old photos. If you look in that top picture of the former Forever Fit, that traffic jam is from our Thanksgiving workout! We have 20+ people reserved for this Thursday! You can be sure there will be pictures… and video?!

ACTION PLAN:  Your iPhone or iPad has a wonderful camera. Your business will expand by incorporating pictures and videos into your marketing efforts. It’s also fun! I am hooked on photos!
